The type of economic activity "Real estate activities" includes activities of landlords, agents and / or intermediaries for the sale or purchase, leasing of real estate, the provision of other services relating to real estate, such as valuation of real estate or operations as agents of deposit accounts . Activities can be carried out in relation to own or leased real estate and can be executed on the basis of fixed payments or on the basis of a contract. This activity also includes the construction of structures in conjunction with the acquisition of property rights or the lease of these constructions, as well as the activities of managers of real estate management.

In this type of economic activity 32.5 thousand active enterprises of Ukraine (5.4% of the total number of active enterprises) are employed. The leader in the number of active enterprises is the city of Kyiv - 7674 enterprises (23.6% of the number of active enterprises of Ukraine of this type of economic activity), followed by Kharkiv region - 2930 enterprises (9%) and Dnipropetrovsk region - 2568 enterprises (7.9%). .

The volume of sales of goods (goods, services) by enterprises of this type of economic activity is UAH 79.8 billion (1.3% of the total volume of sales of goods, services).

The employed population in enterprises with a type of economic activity "Real estate activities" amounted to 255.5 thousand people (1.6% of the total employment of the country). The need for employers in workers according to the data of the state employment service at the end of 2016 amounted to 0.6 thousand people. In 2016, out of the total number of registered unemployed, 3,400 people were employed in this type of economic activity. It is 18,3% lower than in the previous year and accounts for 0,8% of the total number of the employed unemployed.

The average monthly wage in this type of economic activity for 2016 is UAH 4804, which is 7.3% lower than in the economy as a whole. Women receive 6.4% lower wages than men.
